Transportan is a 27-amino acid chimeric cell-penetrating peptide (CPP) derived from the fusion of galanin and mastoparan sequences. It is widely utilized in research settings for its ability to translocate across cellular membranes and facilitate the intracellular delivery of various cargo molecules including proteins, nucleic acids, and small molecule compounds.
Research applications include the study of cellular uptake mechanisms, endosomal escape pathways, mitochondrial targeting, and the development of drug delivery systems. Transportan has been extensively investigated in cell biology research as a model CPP for understanding the biophysics of membrane interaction, pore formation, and cytosolic distribution of conjugated payloads.
Each vial contains 10mg of lyophilized Transportan peptide. Reconstitute with sterile water or appropriate buffer prior to use in research applications.
